Tradeshow Tip #25 - Effective Booth Strategies
Your booth has two main functions:
1) To gain the visitor's attention.
2) To support your sales message.
Use graphics, signs and products to clearly state the purpose of your exhibit, to clearly show what your company does. Keep audiovisuals to no more than two to four minutes in length; this length is most effective to get attention or deliver a message.
Live demonstrations and other activities work well if they are integrated into the scope of your message and are not just a distraction. Be sure your staff remembers to sell, not just enjoy the special activities.
Do not place tables across the FRONT of your booth. This is a visual and psychological barrier that says: "DON'T COME IN AND BUY FROM ME". Avoid giving away food or drink, it messes up your booth and has little memorability, unless you are at a food show.
